Throughout his 24 year tenure as E.D, he has lead the organization to overcome countless barriers associated with non-profits such as financial insecurity, low membership, board development, fundraising, brand awareness and stakeholder support. Originally from Ontario, Adam moved to Prince Edward Island in 1992 where he attended Holland College, receiving degrees in Sport & Recreation and Business Administration. Adam has been honored with such accolades as Summerside’s citizen of the year, The Queens Diamond Jubilee Award, Paul Newman’s Own Award Winner (1 in 5 in Canada), Summerside Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award and most recently the PEI Crime Stoppers Award for crime reduction.
Director of Operations
Morgan Carlile was born and raised in Summerside, PE and is a former Club Member, attending the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside as a youth. After graduating from Three Oaks Senior High, he went on to be selected to Baseball Canada’s Canadian National Junior Team and was drafted by MLB’s New York Mets in 2004. He continued his baseball career while attending Campbellsville University in Kentucky where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008, double Majoring in Criminal Justice Administration and History. His baseball achievements while attending university in Kentucky include being selected to All-Conference, All-Regional and All-American teams and being named Canada’s top Left Handed Pitcher at the university level. His enjoyment to work with children and youth comes from his parents’ professions and seeing the impact a role model can have on a child or youth. Morgan really enjoys working at the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside because it is a structured organization that is designed to help every child and youth succeed in Summerside.
KK started working at The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside in 2016 as the Program Director. Born in Detroit, Michigan, KK moved to Summerside as a child, where he attended school then Holland College for his Business Management degree. KK is a Certified Hydraulic Mechanic and has worked off shore of Newfoundland for 8 years, but returned home to Summerside and currently resides here with his 2 children. KK enjoys woodworking, playing golf and hockey, and spending time with his kids.
Fund Development & Special Events
Originally from Riverview, New Brunswick, Nicole has been living in Prince Edward Island since 2010, where she attended UPEI. Nicole has been with The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside for 5 years, starting as a Programming Employee, and now in her current role of Fund Development and Special Events. Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, outdoor activities, and running.
Harmony has been the Financial Manager of the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside since early 2016. She’s a native of Moncton, NB where she studied for her business degree and later received her Certified General Accountant professional designation. She lives with her husband and 3 young children and enjoys reading, crossfit and eating good food with friends.
Donald has been the Bookkeeper of The Boys & Girls Club of Summerside for the past 7 years. Having attended Mt. Allison University and Cape Breton University, Donald received a degree in accounting. Donald lives in St. Nicholas and enjoys watching the Montreal Canadien's, playing cards with friends, and travelling.
Fundraising & Program Coordinator
Hi I'm Logan plant, 22 years old, I've lived in Summerside for the past 18 years and recently graduated Holland College from the Journalism program. Being a former volunteer at the club during high school I'm over the moon to be working full-time with at club. I will be the fundraising and program coordinator. I have coached the Summerside Spartans Bantam football team along with the Summerside U10, U12, U13 flag football teams where we have collected a case of trophies. I enjoy playing rugby, spending time with my friends, traveling, kayaking and cooking!
My name is Michelle, I was born in Summerside and am a country gal. I have 2 grown up children, a daughter 24 and a son 20. I have been with The Boys & Girls Club going on my eighth year. I started with the after school program in 2011 and then into the Volunteer Coordinator, and in 2017 I took on the Administrative Assistant. My hobbies include walking/jogging, knitting dish clothes and reading. I have a love for reading. I also say that I have the gift to gab. I love working with/meeting people. My favorite time of the year is Christmas. And the count down is on!!!!
Policy and Procedures Coordinator
I began my career with Boys & Girls Clubs in December 1985 as the Executive Director at the Wellington & Area Boys & Girls Club. In January 1993, I assumed the position as Provincial Coordinator for Boys & Girls Clubs of Prince Edward Island. In 2009, the National Office amalgamated the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island into one Region and the position was eliminated here in P.E.I. In Feb. 2010, I became the Policy and Procedures Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club of Summerside.
I have many years experience serving on not-for-profit Boards and have been Chairperson of the former Western School Board and Stewart Memorial Health Board. I have served as a lay member on the Law Society of Prince Edward Island, as a board member on the Charlottetown Airport Authority as well as various other community organizations. I presently serve in my community as an elected Councillor of the Rural Municipality of Tyne Valley.
I and my husband Nigel have two sons, Richard here in Tyne Valley and Adam and his wife Kandice as well as their three children Daniel, Sylvee and Vayda, also living in Tyne Valley. I enjoy knitting, quilting, sewing, reading and spending time with the grandchildren. I help with my 84-year-old mother who is in the Stewart Memorial Manor and my Mother in Law who is 96 and still lives in her own home here in Tyne Valley.
I have spent much of my professional career looking to better the services and programs for youth in this province and intend to continue for a while yet.
Hi I'm Scott Holmes! I'm 30 years old and am group 5 leader. I have an older sister named Jennifer and a dog named Mumford. I like to nap as much as I like to cook and eat. My hobbies are going to the gym (when not to lazy), playing video games, cooking, going to trivia and playing music. I tell bad dad jokes constantly and like to make peoples eyes roll. I'm very hard to embarass and like to make up stupid songs to make the kids laugh.
Hi. I'm Yolanda Johnston and I'm the leader for Group 3. I have 4 nieces and am 'Auntie Yo' to 7 awesome 'adopted' kids my friends lend me occasionally. I enjoy dogs, dark chocolate, and razzing my co-workers -- especially Scott, because he tries to shut me down whenever I try to duet with him. I love the imaginations of 5 & 6 yr olds and the offbeat humour of the 7-8 yr old crowd. I recently got my licence/first car and am making sure to signal and not park like a jerk as much as possible (you're welcome).
Hi, my name is Chelsea Moulins! I graduated from St.FX University and have been working at the Club for six years helping run our Girls Strong, Young Leaders and Homework Programs. I really enjoy playing basketball, especially when I win against the kids due to my height advantage. I also love music, animals, taking the time to travel and spending time with family and friends. I am am from Fort McMurray originally but my family is from PEI, and I moved to the Island in 2010. I got my Early Childhood Development Diploma from Keyano College. I worked for the Boys and Girls club of Fort McMurray from 2004-2009 and have been with the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside since 2013. I enjoy cooking, baking, drawing and painting. I work in the out of school care program and in the arts and crafts room. I run the Kid Food Nation program, as well as the Craft club.
Johnny started in research development for the Club. He is currently involved in a number of programs including: After School Music Program, Strengthening Families Program, Project Backpack, Breakfast Club and After School Program. On behalf of the club , Johnny is also actively involved in fund raising and Video Testimonials for the United Way of PEI and The Consolidated Credit Union. Johnny is very excited about working with fellow Club staffer Chelsea Moulins on a brand new program the Club will be rolling out called KID TECH NATION! This program will help ensure that all youth in our ever growing community- boys, girls, people with disabilities, indigenous youth and newcomers- have access to the knowledge they need to prosper in our digital world.
I'm Brett Martin. I'm currently in grade 12 at Three Oaks Senior High and I plan on taking business at UPEI next year. I enjoy playing sports like hockey, basketball, and baseball. Some of my other interest are watching Netflix and playing video games.
Hello, My name is Braeden. I am a student enrolled at Three Oaks Senior High in Grade 12. I have an interest in many things, such as: Sports, video games, and travel. I have been working at the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside for over 2 years now, and I am certified in First aid/CPR. In my spare time, I like to play basketball and be with my friends.
Chloe Woods is currently in Grade 11 at Three Oaks Senior High. She plays sports such as; Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer. In her spare time, Chloe likes to read and hang out with her friends. Chloe recently won the Grade 10 Best Buy Scholarship through the Boys and Girls Club to go towards her post-secondary school of choice.
I was born and raised in Summerside and I’m never leaving. I’ve been with The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside for eight years and am the program lead for the Girls Strong program. I graduated from Eastern College with a diploma in Child and Youth Care. I love scary movies, going on adventures around the island and I have go to the gym early in the morning before my mind realizes what’s going on. On the side I’m a Big Sister, and in my thirty years, I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like.
