bgc1The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside is a non-profit organization, located in Summerside, PE. Established in 1963, the Club has effected the lives of many Summerside families, and the Community as a whole. Currently employing 29 full time employees, 60 seasonal and meeting the needs of 3,000 children, youth and families in Summerside and the surrounding area. The Club offers 27 programs in the areas of healthy living, physical activity, sport & recreation, arts and crafts, music and education.

Our Impact

The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside is part of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada global movement dedicated to helping young people grow into healthy, confident, contributing adults.  The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside was established in 1963 located on 364 Notre Dame Street, Summerside and throughout our more than 50-year history, The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside has provided a safe, caring environment and stimulating programs for over 50,000 children and youth of Summerside. Our Club has helped youth, ranging in age from pre-school to young adulthood, to play, learn and develop skills to help them achieve their full potential and grow up to be healthy, successful, and active participants in society.

Mandate

Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada are leading providers of after school and critical hours’ programs, recognized for significantly contributing to the healthy development of young people – especially those who need us most.

 

Membership

The Boys and Girls Club of Summerside meets the needs of 3000 children, youth, and their families.

Provider of 23 programs for ages 4-12

Provider of 10 programs for ages 13-18

Provide numerous services for families, other non-profits and community stakeholders.
